Weekend 3 round-up: Brands Hatch Historic Festival

This European event saw the team take on some solid opposition. It was a strong start in the Masters Gentleman Drivers race in the Healey, but a broken alternator resulted in the team’s early exit. 

It was a similar story in the Masters Pre ’66 Touring Cars race – a 5th in class in the Cortina for qualifying, followed by another early exit due to a cracked oil pump. 

“But it all came good in the end,” Holme noted. The Healey took on 45 other cars in the Equipe Pre ’63 race, ultimately bringing home a 2nd place finish both in class and overall, as well as the fastest lap.
